Hopefully Gold sets her sights on the prize in The Hit Or Bust Stakes
Greyhound race fans await the The Hit Or Bust Stakes at Swindon on 17 February, 2012. 6 hounds will be competing for the prize of £95 in the Grade A1 race that will run across a distance of 480 metres.
The race line-up consists of Tommy The Wheel, Scala Cosey, Hopefully Gold, Ardmayle Mohamad, Silverton Blaze, and Crinkill Jewel.
Tommy The Wheel, whelped in September 2008, has competed at Swindon twice since the beginning of the year.  In the first race held on 31 January 2012, he finished first defeating, Razldazl Dazl, by 1 ¼ length.
His performance is improving with every race and his trainer, K. Hutton looks optimistic.
The daughter of Westmead Hawk, out of Malbay Sadie, Scala Cosey, is not in her best form. She has competed in two races at Swindon. On 1 February 2012, she finished in 5th place in the Grade OR Swindon 509ER across 509 metres.
She secured the same position on 11 February 2012, in the Grade A1 480M Flat.
Hopefully Gold is the top contender for this race. Her victory is being predicted based on her odds of 2 to 1.
The daughter of Westmead Hawk, out of Wee Ranger has bagged two back-to-back victories at Swindon, and she will be running for a hat-trick in today’s race. She beat, Tictac Butterfly, on 27 January, 2012 by 2 lengths in the Grade A2 The Ladies Marathon Challenge
Stakes.
She maintained her position as race favourite on 3 February 2012, when she defeated, Ardmayle Mohamad, in the Grade A1 480m flat race, and finished in 29.10 seconds.
Ardmayle Mohamad should hold on every opportunity he gets in this race. He was defeated by Hopefully Gold in the last race by ½ a length. The son of Head Bound, out of Westmead Joy was triumphant on 24 January 2012, when he beat Ardmayle Ali by 1 ½ length.
Silverton Blaze, finished 6th in his last race at Swindon. The race was the Grade OR Abbey 509ER that took place on 8 February, 2012 and covered a distance of 509 metres.
Crinkill Jewel, whelped in October 2009, finished her last race in second place at Swindon. She was defeated by, Active Lark, by 1 ¼ of a length on 4
February, 2012.
The betting forecast predicts that Hopefully Gold has the highest odds of winning this race. Her first place finish will be followed closely by Silverton Blaze and Crinkill Jewel.
