After the birth of my second son about three months later i was working hard from home with my new baby and toddler and started to get very sad probably from the tiredness but it was about a day or two of deep sadness which was because of no reason as everything was wonderful except the hard work obviously that me and my husband had with the kids and bothworking from home.

now 1 year on i look back and am back to normal and so happy and have a nice job outside the home and the kids got to daycare. however i never want those feelings of sadness to ever come back as i am normally a very sunny desposition person and always have been

Do you think this was just a hormonal imbalance after the birth and is it normal it just goes away without medication as i do really feel myself again and never took any medication to do soç

  1. Sounds like a mild case of postpartum depression, which can indeed be attributed to hormone changes and lack of sleep. It also bears mentioning that occasional "blue days" can come upon mothers with children of any age, and aren't anything to worry about if they don't lead to longer periods of sadness or changes in sleeping or eating habits. At that point, of course, it would be wise to consult your doctor and see whether s/he can determine the cause[s]. Sounds like you're doing just fine, though!

  2. i would have to say that if you havne't felt that way since, you shouldnt dwell on it, all new mommies get tired and stressed out, talk to your doctor about preventative measures you can take perhaps?

  3. it could have been a mild case of depression
