Hopes N Dreams dreaming for strong comeback
After two pathetic performances during June-July, the Kevin Ryan trained bay filly, Hopes N Dreams, spent almost six weeks in school to refine her form and improvise her skills. This comprehensive drill is likely to help her stage a strong comeback today
and lift and ace title of the Betfred Bolton Lads & Girls Club Handicap (Div II) that will be held at Haydock racecourse.
The four-year-old veteran filly has a remarkable record on good to firm grounds; thus, she is supposed to show a convincing and calculated run over 6 furlongs while competing against 14 worthy rivals. Success will earn her £4,205.
The best time of the fantastic filly’s career was May-June when she grabbed three epic victories along with a third consecutively.
After breaking her maiden with the title of Calverts Carpets York Ltd Apprentice Handicap, she emphatically won the Electrolux Selling Handicap---the first race was held at Nottingham while the second one went down at Hamilton.
The daughter of Elusive City out of Hope Of Pekan went on to finish third in the Kevin Donkin Memorial Handicap (Div I) that took place at Beverley. She showed her class once again by sealing top position in the Weatherbys Printing Handicap.
These back-to-back feats helped the filly establish herself well in the betting market. However, she could not retain her momentum and tumbled in the two subsequent races. That was the reason Ryan decided to train her further.
Hopefully, Hopes N Dreams will come up to the hopes of her trainer in today’s marathon. On her way towards the finish line, she will have to face a tough challenge from Rusty Rocket who has delivered some sterling performances since the beginning of this
year.
The Paul Green trained chestnut colt bagged a couple of consecutive triumphs in the month of April. After a few podium finishes, the Seven Stars Racing owned veteran colt claimed the title of the Totepool.com Sports Games Bingo & More Handicap, held at Catterick
on August 29.
This fresh momentum is likely to assist him a lot today. Thus, we can expect a rip-roaring clash between the confident colt and the mighty filly.
