Hopes pinned to Paul Nicholls’s Rock On Ruby for the John Smith's Aintree Hurdle
Rock On Ruby, son of Oscar, out of mare, Stony View, is gaining attention in the market for the Grade 1 John Smith's Aintree Hurdle, which is scheduled to take place on 14th April, 2012, at Aintree.
He could be joined by stable mate, Zarkandar, at Aintree and they may go head to head in this race.
Trained by Paul Nicholls, for owners, The Festival Goers, the seven-year-old gelding looks in good form for the prestigious race at Aintree.
He scored a victory in the Cheltenham Festival, where he was mounted by Noel Fehily. He entered the Grade 1 Stan James Champion Hurdle Challenge Trophy with odds of 11 to 1 and defeated Donald McCain trained, Overturn by 3 ¾ lengths on 13th March,
2012.
He succeeded over race favourite, Empire Levant, in the Sportingbet Intermediate Hurdle (Limited Handicap) (Registered As The Gerry Feilden Hurdle) (Listed) at Newbury on 26th November, 2011.
With such impressive victories, he is bound to be a likely contender in the National run.
Sprinter Sacre is attracting attention from the market for the John Smith's Maghull Novices' Chase, which will also take place on 14th April, 2012.
Owned by Mrs. Caroline Mould, he is currently under the training of Nicky Henderson. The six-year-old gelding is in stellar form, as he has been performing in a magnificent manner.
He bagged victories in his last four races, and is looking to add another win to his record.
The son of Network, out of mare, Fatima III, raced as a favourite with odds of 8 to 11 in the Grade 1 Racing Post Arkle Challenge Trophy Chase at the Cheltenham Festival on 13th March, 2012.
Mounted by rider, Barry Geraghty, he comfortably crossed the wire first as he defeated, Cue Card, by a massive margin of 7 lengths.
This prestigious event is creating frenzy among trainers, punters, owners and jockeys alike. It is a highly anticipated event which will feature runners from different parts of the world.
Due to rain on the track, the punters are being careful about the runners. They are taking those runners into consideration who have shown their ability on a soft track.
