I run a 14.31 second 100 meter dash. I'm a 13 year old girl. If I trained and improved my time, would I have a shot at the olympics someday?

  1. oh yes..you are fast for a 13 year old...think of it this way..there is olympics this year, four years from now..when you will be 17, 4 years from then you will be 21...so you have 8 years to improve your time by 4 seconds and you can have a world record......................EDIT..i forgot to mention..if you are white..you will not make it...its just physics

  2. there is a chance.

But a lot of the excellent runners from my school end up slowing down by college or stop improving after a while. My friend ran his 800m in 2:17 in 7th grade.  Now he's a freshman and he's getting 2:33.

Don't over train!  It will kill your motivation and fatigue your body.  Remember, rest is vital for a good runner.

  3. The world record for womens is 10.49 if you keep training hard hard hard hard hard i dont see why you couldnt keep improving your time!

  4. of course you will have chance if you keep running till your full protential.
