Question:

Hoping someone could help me with Northwest Airlines flight?

OK, on Tuesday I'm going to visit my friend in Michigan. Her grandmother bought my ticket using her account on NWA.com (northwest airline's website) and sent me an email with a link to my itinerary, which includes my confirmation number.

My friend told me that I could print my tickets online any time I wanted, but I don't know how and she claims I just need my confirmation number. I think that they sent the link for printing my tickets to her grandmother since it is her account.

My question is: how do I print my tickets if I don't have access to the NWA.com account? Can I just use the confirmation number, and, if so, where do I go to print them?

Thanks!

  1. https://www.nwa.com/AOPSSDWeb/ici/PnrSub...

Above is the link for NWA's online check in.  It doesn't seem like you need an account with them in order to be able to print your boarding passes from home.

  2. You can't actually print your tickets. They're electronic and exist only in Northwest's computer. There is nothing to print.

What you can print is your boarding pass, which is different from a ticket. (Lots of people who post answers on this website confuse tickets and boarding passes. I actually worked for various travel companies, you can trust me on this one.)

You do not need access to anyone's NWA account to do it. You only need a confirmation number.

Here is how you do it:

    1. Go to www.nwa.com.

    2. Click on the tab that is labeled "check-in"

    3. Fill in your last name, confirmation number, and departure city code. Click on the link for "find city code" to look up the departure city code.

    4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

You can only check-in and print your boarding passes for your outbound flights. You'll have to do your return flights within 24 hours of the flight.

If you still have any problems, just check-in at the airport. It's not a problem except that you might have to stand in line.

  3. Just do to the self-in check in kiosk at the airport (not the counter), it is very fast and saves you the hassle of figuring out their site.

  4. You can with the link if its your account. What messages are you seeing?. Are they ask you to confirm your friend's grandmother NWA account with password. I believe this is the problem you are facing, you need to log in but its not your account.

Any reason why you'd like to print your ticket & not get the ticket at the counter. Its relatively very fast & easy.
