Question:

Hoping to get a pet; suggestions?

I just moved into my new apartment and I am looking to get a pet. There are some factors that will affect my choice. I can’t get a dog. I have experience with small to medium rodents, freshwater fish, and large snakes. I’m interested in exotic animals as well as the more mainstream pets. I have time everyday that I can devote to care, but I have somewhat limited resources. That being said, does anyone have suggestions or warnings for what critter I might be able to share my love with? Thanks in advance!

  1. How about a little pot-bellied piglet?

  2. A Rabbit, Hampshire or a Lizzard.

  3. Holland lop rabbits are sooo cute, they like to be held and petted, you can take them for a walk, they dont need to be bathed or groomed, they are relatively small (like 4 pounds), and they almost never bite (in 8 years of raising rabbits i have only had 3 bite me because they thought i had treats), and they can live alone or in same-s*x gruops of two.

here on some good links on holland lop rabbits:

  4. ferrets are good apartment pets.. they like to be held and they love to play, they live in a cage and you can litter train them, they are actually very clean animals. you can even walk them if you feel like it although its not nessercery.. a really good book is 'ferrets for dummies' it will tell you everything you need to know about them..

good luck in finding a pet:)

  5. Chinchillas are neat, loving pets. Cages and the chinchilla it self can be costly but if they are kept healthy they don't cost much for upkeep.
