Question:

Hopkins vs Calzaghe rematch?

Does anyone want to see it? I do. I personally think Hopkins can KO Calzaghe. Hopkins did run out of gas due to the constant pressure by Joe, but Hopkins hits a lot harder. In the early rounds it looked as if Calzaghe was a bit afraid to get near B-Hop and I think if Hopkins jumps on him it would be goodnight for Calzaghe. However, I highly doubt there will be one. What do you all think?

  1. I would rather see a rematch then Calzaghe fight Jones.  Jones has nothing left why would I want to see that.  Hopkins - Calzaghe was close so why not rematch?

  2. I honestly do not want to see a rematch.  I already know for a fact that if it was a prime Hopkins, he would have schooled Calzaghe.  BUT, for the time being, I think that a rematch would have the same outcome because Calzaghe's workrate is too high and Hopkins punch output is too low, plus the fact that Bernard is 43 years old.  I would like to see Bernard retire because he has nothing left to prove- he is already a first-ballot hall of famer and his record speaks for itself.  For Calzaghe- I would like to see him face either Kelly Pavlik or Chad Dawson, but I know that won't happen at least right away because 1) those two opponents are WAY too dangerous for him at this stage of his career and he would most likely lose, and 2) he already has a November pay per view date with the faded Roy Jones, Jr. penciled in.  I hope that after he fights Jones, and if he beats him, then he can fight an opponent in their prime like Pavlik or Dawson because beating faded legends like Jones or Hopkins doesn't prove anything in terms of if he is really as good as his 45-0 record.

  3. ***I'd LOVE to see it. I think Hopkins won,

  4. No I don,t want to see another boring fight Hopkins is to smart to take a risk of getting hurt so he woulf hold on the whole fight . I want to see Roy Jones and Calzaghe fight Jones wins by 11 round KO

  5. Yes, I would watch a rematch, although Hopkins will be even older by the time a rematch occurs. Hopkins had Calzaghe hurt several times in the first fight, and could have knocked him out had he been busy enough or at least  win a decision I would rather see Calzaghe get his a$$ handed to him by one of the true light-heavyweights, like chad dawson, antonio tarver, or even glen johnson. Honestly, despite Calzaghes win, I am even less impressed with him now than I was before, he kinda sucks.

  6. Hopkins would lose worse than the first time.

  7. No. I'd like to see Calazaghe fight Roy Jones Jr (and lose).

  8. Honestly, No.  Hopkins doesnt have one punch KO power. He is old and Calzaghe has stated that he is only going to fight a few more times. Why waste one of his last fights on a rematch of what i think was one of the most boring fighs ive ever seen. I dont see a BIG fight in the future for calzaghe because the light heavyweight division has lost is spunk. But since he has to fight somebody might as well be undeserving tarver who is also a light heavyweight champ.

  9. calzaghe would rip him a new one again

  10. The fight would look the same way........................................

Joe would miss most of his punches, then land a few pitty pat ***** punches....................................

Bernard would land the hardest punches, but not be busy enough.....................................

    Joe wins another close fight.

If the Jones/Calzaghe fight isn't fixed- Roy should knock Calzaghe out!
