. please only people who know boxing answer, i dont want any biased ****, just honest opinions

  1. He simply didn't do enough. He threw one punch at a time and then held. Calzaghe was busier and the aggressor. Hopkins had the more effective punches in the first 4 rounds but other than that there was only maybe one other round that he connected with any power. I think that Joe Calzaghe won 115-112.

  2. i had calzaghe winning by 4 or more rounds,i really im not a fan of either.i thought besides the 1st round, hopkins got 2 maybe 3 more of the first 6 rds then calzaghe swept it from there. hopkins occasionally landed a decent shot here and there but calzaghes preasure was clearly bothering hopkins and thats why he found it necessary to pull his low blow stunt, calzaghe was wearing him down and the referee allowed hopkins a time out to rest basically, calzaghe didnt look great, but nobody really does against hopkins. calzaghe just did more to earn the fight in my opinion.

  3. the fight game is over...this proved it...

  4. Hopkins won. Knocked down the aggressor, stunned the aggressor a few good times. Cleaner effective counter-aggression on Hopkins part.

Joe stunned nothing. Threw a bunch of rabbit flurries that had no effect and not even worth counting as landed punches. Taunting in several rounds because he knew he was losing and psyched out. And threw some behind the back rabbit punch - what the h**l was that??? Joe is garbage. If they think his work rate was impressive than anyone can win a fight just throwin ineffective punches in bunches - garbage.

Im more inclined to believe that Hopkins' big mouth about a white boy never beating him got him trouble with the judges than Joe convincingly beating Hopkins. B-Hop ran into an ole boy's network decision - lol

The Judges won against B-Hop not Joe....lol

  5. Going into the 12th round of a close fight, what would you expect your trainer to say?? "Take it easy"?

It was very close, personally I think Hopkins fought a good fight (shame about the play acting) and probably deserved a draw but would of been hard on Calzaghe for him to of lost it

  6. I think that Hopkins did very well at the beginning of the fight, but starting around the middle and continuing towards the end, Calzaghe got into his groove and simply outworked Hopkins the way that most of us thought he would.  I understand where you're coming from because Hopkins landed the harder blows, but when you get outlanded by over 100 punches, its really hard for me to argue with that.  I'm a huge Hopkins fan, but I have to admit that he lost fair and square tonight.  I had this fight at 115-112 for Calzaghe, but I could see where one judge had it for Hopkins because they preferred his harder blows to Calzaghe's workrate.  If this was a prime Hopkins, it would have been an easy win for B-Hop, and if anything, Hopkins impressed me more by fighting a competitive fight and even knocking down a volume puncher like Calzaghe at the age of 43.

  7. Don't like either of them but....

    1. the aggressor was Joe

    2. Joe out landed him by about 100 punches

    3. B-hop just did barely enough to even make it a  close fight.

Joe won, albeit he was in a catch-22.

  8. You want answers only from people that know boxing yet you don't seem to know boxing yourself. It was a clear win for Joe.

  9. this is my honest opinion i thought that calzaghe was going to be robbed of the win but was quite pleased to see the american juges go the way of the dragon although one of the juges gave a 16-11 fight which was mental i think calzaghe won but it wernt no 16-11 fight im glad joe won bernard milked the low blow and faked another one in the corner he used the head and the referee needs to be shot for not deducting a point of b-hop at the end of the day calzaghe made a fool of him by doing him doggy style after the low blow although he didnt need to coz b-hop made a mockery of boxing with his cowerdes and reluctence to fight

  10. I would score it 114-114 Draw or Calzaghe 115-113. Very close fight. If Hopkins was a little younger he would win easily.

  11. You're right! The corners says it all! Calzaghe's corner thought Joe needed a KO & Hopkin's corner new B-Hop won!
