Horatio Carter confident to win Yorkshire Racing Summer Festival Coming Soon Handicap
The David O’Meara-trained bay gelding, Horatio Carter, is regarded as the hot favourite candidate for the Yorkshire Racing Summer Festival Coming Soon Handicap that will be held at Ripon racecourse on Monday, July 9. The Class 5 contest over 1 mile is scheduled
to begin at 9:20 (GMT).
The seven-year-old veteran runner will have to face 14 competitors on the soft track while hunting for the prize cheque worth £2,911.
The 42-race experienced horse has five triumphs to his name. Since the dawn of 2012, he has been performing well. After getting a third in the Membership Of Southwell Golf Club Claiming Stakes over 1 mile on January 2, he moved ahead to finish 4th
in the Play Bingo Free At Bluesq.Com Handicap over 7 furlongs at Southwell.
The brilliant son of Bahamian Bounty out of Jitterbug moved ahead to grab a runner-up rank in the “Like” Thirsk Racecourse Official Facebook Page Handicap (Div 1) over 7 furlongs at Thirsk racecourse on June 19.
The Trendy Ladies-trained horse went forward to finish second again in Eltherington Stakes (Handicap) over 7 ½ furlongs at Beverley. This was his last start, held on July 7.
These stats depict that Horatio Carter is carrying a lot of fighting spirit that will help him make a big impact in the coming contest. If he manages to maintain his stamina, he will up to 90 percent chances to finish first.
However, Izzet will come hard on him. The Ron Barr-trained bay gelding is brimming with momentum following his outclass conquest in the Follow Redcarracing On Facebook & Twitter Handicap, a Class 5 contest over 1 mile, held on June 22, 2012.
Prior to this terrific triumph, the son of Cadeaux Genereux out of Asbo had finished 6th in each of the three consecutive races from October 14, 2011 to June 18, 2012.
The way Izzet performed against a dozen of rivals in the last race is sufficient to believe that the veteran horse can prove to be fatal for Horatio Carter.
In this situation, the coming contest will be packed with thrill. A huge crowd will move to the venue to enjoy the action. Good luck to all the runners.
