Horizon Air Ala Cart baggage service? ?

Anyone know the size restrictions on Horizon Airs Ala Cart service? Is it the same as when you normally check a bag? Does this service completely replace checking in bags? Thanks for any info!

This is for bags which would otherwise be carry-on bags, so the same restrictions you would have on carry-ons apply to the bag you check planeside.

The reason they offer this service is that they fly commuter jets, which have MUCH less interior storage space than a regular mainline aircraft.  This means you're pretty much going to be limited to bringing with you on board what can fit under your seat.  

If your only bags are a small suitcase and your "personal item" you should be ok - you just need to adhere to all of the carry-on requirements (liquids, prohibited items, size, etc.) since you will be checking and picking up your bag planeside.
