Horizontal drilling?

People have been coming around our area wanting us to sign up with them to drill for gas, they need like 600 acres. Someone told us that that its illegal to do horizontal drilling in pa, is it? Or does any one have any advice about these companies coming around, like don't sign up with the people who are brokers?

Ask around your family or church or friends for an honest independant geologist in your area.  PA has quite a few of them.  Find some one you can trust.  He can give you an honest opinion of what the mineral rights on your property are worth and what to expect if you sell them.
