Hormone in Yaz birth control that keeps skin clear?

I have clear skin, yet like most I have breakouts from time to time. I had been taking Yaz birth control for three months to help my menstrual cycle and during that time my skin was even clearer and smoother than ever. I stopped taking the birth control over a month ago due to bad side effects. I cannot try or use any other brand of birth control in fear of the same side effects. I would still love the clear skin though! I wash my face correctly with amazing products and am consistent, I just like that extra boost. What exactly is the hormone/ingredient in Yaz particularly that keeps skin clear & is it the same ingredient as used for the birth control effect itself? Are there any recommendations for prescription medicine from a doctor to keep skin in top shape? Thank you:)

Most birth control pills are a combination of estrogen and progesterone. Those are also the active ingredients making your skin better. The estrogen levels reduce your acne.
