Hornet Dirt Racing. How much?

My dad has been dirt racing for years. He races Late Models but im not ready for that, IM wanting to race Hornets. LOL.

I was just wondering howmuch it will cost for everything i need

In this area (Eastern Nebraska/ Western Iowa) race ready IMCA sport compacts (Hornets basically) run about $1500-$2000.  That includes all required safety equipment installed.  All you need is your personal safety gear (helmet, firesuit, gloves and shoes), and some way of getting the car to the track.  Some people even leave their cars at the track (although they don't tend to be the most competitive).  

    Of course you'll also need some tools and spare parts on hand to make basic repairs as needed (several extra tires and rims are recommended as they are definitely a weak link).
