Hornets nests, the big grey ones, looking for a safe way to get rid of them?

We have one in the garden right next to equipment that we need to use. We have hosed the nest down, but they still keep coming back and trying to rebuild it. There are thousands of them and they actually chase you. We cannot set fire to it as it is too close to the building.

Spray Boric acid (Roach Proof) In the hole of the nest at night. They will come in contact with it & die. You also can have an exterminator do the same thing.
