Question:

Horrific nightmares while sleeping?

Last night, I had one of the worst nightmares of my life. I was being chased by 3 men, and one of them had a knife while trying to get me. It left so real and I woke up scared for my life. While they were chasing me, I was trying to avoid them and hide.

I don't know why this happened, this is the first time in my life I've gotten such a horrific nightmare. But the reason for this may be because I've been stressed for the past year now really badly. It's been a lot of stress day in and day out for the past 365 days or so.

I don't know if this may have something to do with the nightmares but I really want it to stop.

I'm 14 years old, btw.

Anyone know why?

  1. I've suffered from nightmares off & on since I was a baby. I'm 27 now. From what I've told stress is a factor but not as much as trama. Have you had anything tramatic happen? Have you talked to your parents about it?

  2. haha i have the same thing but it was about gost cuz i wached a gost video did u wch a kllers movie then go to bed maby thats why or maby thare  is a killer in ur house a gost killer and it made u have night meres i have a gost in my house:(

  3. Its good to not think about it, if your stressed just relax. That works. Most of the Time. Why are you Stressed?

  4. clearly the stress has a lot to do with it and you need to get at the root of your stress and learn to manage it.  perhaps some therapy. . .

  5. Thats because I, the darkness, floats over your bed and reaches inside your mind.

  6. Well, right now I'm 15 and I've had over hundreds of nightmares, some with monsters, some with friends dying, and all that. The first time it's scary but when you have more, you will get use to it and not wake up scared anymore. Stress can be a factor as to why you have those nightmares, the same as I, but other things that happen in your life can contribute to why, like any family issues, deaths, worrying/stress, changes in life, or anything horrific that has happened. Stress can cause this as it makes you worried about something or to be scared as what may happen. Just try to relax and put some things aside, and hope maybe it was just one of those random nightmares that we all have.

  7. you fear someone wants to "hurt" you as in emotionally. turn and face the chasers and you can defeat this 'fear" just think about who or what you fear and be strong, you can do it!!

  8. You say this is the first time? I wouldn't put too much thought in to it. Sometimes we just have nightmares. If it started to happen on a regular basis then I would say to talk to your doctor. Try to think of good things before for go to sleep, if you fixate on the nightmare you could dream the same kind of dream again.
