  1. Steer with your legs and knees, reinforce with pulling inside reign (or if your horse 'neck reigns', lay opposite reign on neck).

  2. it depends on the way the horse is trained and how comftorable you are doing them. Most horses respond to neck reining, and alot also respond for leg reining. do whatever ismore comftorable.

If u r in a show, do leg reining. the point is to seem like you mave w/ the horse with out any work

  3. No you use Your lower leg make him move over against pressure

Never should have to PULL the reins

  4. OK the past few have the knee part wrong!! you don't grip with your knee because then you don't have the right presser with your lower leg... you have to ride with a long leg and grip and communicate with the horse through your calf muscles...have contact with the horses mouth through the rains and use both aids and off you go you can turn the horse!! eg. so if you are going right use the inside leg (calf) and inside rain and put your out side leg slightly back  and remember to keep your hands down.

  5. Point your finger which way you want to go and say "Horse, I would appreciate it if you could move that way a little".

  6. you can do a little of both when u want to turn for example you want to go right u pull the reigens to the right and use ur left leg to nuge its belly or somtimes u dont even have to use you knee or calf at all. And if they wont go take your heel and bump them in the side, this wont hurt them just get them to move

    Hope i helped!
