  2. Hey,

There is an awesome college called:

Marcus Oldham College in Geelong which is agriculture and equine (horse) based. There you are able to become a vet nurse, mounted cop and heaps of other things!

    You should check it out.

  3. An associate in horse science will open a few door.

    What kind of English riding?

Working for a farm in the kind of english riding you are interested in.  I know different farms looking for grooms.  It is a good place to start.  You keep your eyes and ears open and learn as much as you can.  Pay your dues.  It will also give you an idea of different possibilities before striking out on your own.  If in the end that is what you want.  You may choose to work for someone that has the quality of horses that you want to work with.  That is ok too.

Not sure what area you are in but you can email me I might able to direct you to a farm.

  4. That's exactly like me, but I'm aiming for being a vet. Anyway, here are your other options:

    ~Breeder

    ~Farrier

    ~Jockey

    ~Riding Trainer

    ~Horse Trainer

    ~Saddler

    ~Saddlery shop owner

    I'm out. Good luck.

  5. I have two horses they ride western and  so do I.I`m gonna be a Breeder. You could also do make and sell tack!Or break horses. The stables wuz a good idea .

  6. Theres always a Vet. Or an Equine Vet.

Theres also blacksmiths, trainers, riding instructors, or u could aim to be a top notch jumper or racer. :D

  7. Jockey

    Instructor

    Breeder

    Barn Manager

    Judge (Horse Shows)

The horse industry is so vast, there's lots to do... except there isn't always a ton of money in it (exception of vets), so if you plan on being rich, you most likely won't make your money in the horse industry.

  8. I don't know if this helps but most small colleges have 2 year equine courses wich you can take.My friend took it while she was still in high school so she has a college degree and a 2 year equine/animal studies degree.

  9. You could be an instructor at a riding stable. Some colleges have an equine program for 2 years

  10. I went into Animal Science - Equine Business, because I loved horses and I love the business end of things. At my school there were three different classifications for our program: Science (pre-vet), Business, and Production.   You could own your own stable, work with disabled riders, go into the tack and feed business, operate a horse camp, or if you are experienced enough you can become a professional rider or trainer.   The other thing, is if you don't want to be a vet but like the science end, is becoming a vet-tech.

I had an interest in law, so I took my Equine-Business degree and went and received my paralegal degree. Ag Law is not wide-spread so this was a little bit more tricky.
