Horse Racing: 20th September 2010
Monday, the 20th of September 2010 will be seeing some of the most interesting races. One of the races is the Harry Spooner 100th Birthday Handicap. The race was due to start at 3.20 pm in the Liecester Race Course. The race has always
managed to attract a great deal of spectators and fans. It is a Grade III Handicap and race horses of the age 3 and above are eligible to contend it. The significant contenders of the race this year include the race horse La Fortunata. The colt has been trained
at the famous Murphy Stables. La Fortunata will be running under the talented jockey Andrea Atzini. Andrea is one of the most favourite and has been priced the most at 11-2 by Bet365 and 8-1 by Betfair. The race horse is three years of age and has displayed
his potential and calibre at various competitions that it became a part of under the training of the Murphy stables. La Fortunata started training at the Murphy stables in the beginning of this year. Just in the past three months, the talented filly has managed
to finish four races in the second spot and has won two meets.
The other horse that La Fortunata will be competing against is Piscean. Piscean is a five year old horse and so is more experiences that Fortunata. The US bred race horse has been a part of 43 horses in its athletic career. Out of these, Piscean has won
only 5 races and has finished in the second place thrice. Besides this, the race horse also has third place finishes in three career races. The race horse will be running under the jockey Steve Donoboe. Steve’s associated have been making comments about the
invincible performance that will be given by Piscean in this particular Handicap. The online betting for this Handicap was done on Bet365 and Betfair.
The second feature race scheduled to take place on the 20th of September is the Computing.co.uk Handicap. The race will start at 5 pm at the Kempton Park Race Course. The race will be run over a distance of one mile. This particular race is class
4. 14 race horses will be contending this one mile meet today at Kempton Park. The race horse who has been betted the most on for this race is My Best Bet. My Best Bet is the winner of the Midland Facilities Apprentice Handicap which took 3rd of
September this year and has been under the training of Stef Higgins since November of 2009. So far, the race horse has given brilliant performances in 20 of the 36 professional races that the colt has been a part of during its athletic career. Thus, My Best
Bet has been maintaining an impressive profile and record. After this race, the colt will start training under its former jockey Tom Queally. My Best Bet has run a couple of successful races under Tom.
Apparently, My Best Bet’s hottest competitor in this race is Elioth. According to the experts and critics of the sport, it will not be that of a task for My Best Bet to hold off Elioth, the reason being that Elioth will be running in a professional race
for the third time. Experience is something that matters a lot in the sport of horse racing, experts say. Elioth is trained by William Knight and is expected to run under the regular jockey Jim Crowley. What makes Elioth a tough contender of the race is the
fact that the race horse has been unbeaten in the two of his only starts. The associates of Elioth and his trainer and jockey have repeatedly claimed that race horse will continue to maintain its winning streak as Elioth is all set to take over the field and
hold off some of the most experienced horses of the sport.
Experts are looking forward to these two races and those who have placed their stakes in these two events are more than excited to witness the conclusions of the races.
