Horse Racing: Beautiful Sound could aim for Punchestown
Beautiful Sound, one of the most favourite racehorses of the racing industry, has always been able to impress his fans and connections in all racing events that he has contended in during his racing career. It was unfortunate that the racehorse could not
make it to the Ladbrokes Irish Grand National that is taking place at the Fairyhouse racecourse for which he was an ante post favourite. This race carried 250,000 euros prize money.
According to reports, the champion was made the second reserve for the declaration stage that took place on Friday, 22nd April. He needed to two confirmed racehorses withdrawn to be a part of the race. The field could only host a total of 25 racehorses
at the Monday meeting. Needless to say that Beautiful Sound could not be one of those 25.
As things did not work out for Beautiful Sound and his connections regarding the Fairyhouse meeting, his trainer now looks forward to the race that has been scheduled to take place at the Punchestown racecourse.
The Punchestown festival is one of the very significant events of the racing industry. The nine-year-old racehorse, Beautiful Sound, will take part in the Guineas Handicap Chase that has been scheduled to take place on the 4th of May. This race
will be contended over a distance of 2 miles and 4 furlongs.
As for the Newmarket Classic race, the outright favourite, Frankel, will be competing against 14 other racehorses. As the five-day declaration took place today, Dream Ahead was the most significant absentee for the Qipco 2000 Guineas that will be taking
place at the Newmarket racecourse on Saturday.
The trainer of the absentee was approached by correspondents regarding the plans of the racehorse. He was reported as saying, “I am delighted with how Dream Ahead has wintered and filled out and also how settled he is in his work. He was on target for this
weekend, so with just a couple of pieces of work on the watered gallop in the next fortnight, he should be spot on for France.”
