  1. THE TOTAL BET WOULD BE £5.   It is in fact 2 bets.   You are betting £2.50 to WIN and £2.50 to be Placed.

Do not back each way.   Bet WIn ONLY.   I have s system, which involves betting  WIN ONLY.    It does not win every day - but shows big profits month in and month out.   Recent wins in past 2 weeks = £90 and £70, pus many more smaller sums from £9.50 upwards.   All for £1 stakes.    Yesterday = £9.86.    I shall be backing at Chester tonight.

  2. ye it woud cost you a fiver to place that bet

    2.50 win

    2.50 place

  3. Yes, the bet would cost £5. It is two bets, a win and a place.

  4. 2.50 each way would cost you 5.00 to put on.  if it wins you get a 2.50 win and a 2.50 place

  5. yup....£2.50 ew would be a £5 bet

basically you are putting 2 bets on. One £2.50 for the horse to win and one £2.50 bet on the horse to finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th depending on how many horses are running in that race. (ie you get 4th if its a handicap and 16 or more runners are racing)

ew part (2nd, 3rd etc) pays back roughly 1/5 of the odds back

win part pays back £2.50 * the odds

if it wins you get both

there is no real point putting an e/w bet on if a horse is 4-1 or less. you might as well just stick £5 on it to win

e/w is better done when the horse has quite large odds 8-1 plus

  6. 5POUNDS YOU DOUBLE YOUR INITIAL STAKE

  7. £5,£2.50 for a horse in the first 3 and £2.50 for the horse to win outright.
