Horse Racing: Dance Fantasia scores victory over Speed Ripper
Japan offered some quality racing events to its fans of the sport today as the Grade III event kicked off. The Fairy Stakes that took place at Nakayama today was run over a distance of 1 mile on a turf surface. The mega event was contended by fillies of
age three and above.
The filly Dance Fantasia gave spectacular performance in this race as she claimed the event and stole the show at Nakayama. What made this victory of the champion filly more special was the fact that this recorded the first stakes graded victory with famed
French jockey Anthony Crastus today. The winner racehorse trains under the care of trainer Kazuo Fujisawa. As the filly Dance Fantasia won this race at Nakayama, she clearly proved herself as an early Classic potential champion.
The jockey Crastus is currently a part of the sport under the JRA lisence which is a short term one. He partnered with the winning filly in the race as she took over the field in Fairy Stakes by a distance of two and a half length. The runner up of this
event was the potential contender Speed Ripper.
Meanwhile the third place was clinched by the filly Admire Sceptre. Admire Sceptre was sent out in the race followed by Dance Fantasia, who was a 23-10 favourite with the sponsors for this meeting.
The winning filly, Dance Fantasia is one of the offspring of Falbrav. Falbrav on the other hand is popularly known as the hero of the 2002 edition of the prestigious Japan Cup. She was borne by the mare Dance In The Mood. Dance In The Mood, is also considered
amongst the champions of the sport in the country. She claimed the Oka Sho (Japanese 1000 Guineas) in the year 2004. After her breathtaking performance in this race, horse racing analysts are of the view that she will be heading forward in her racing career
the same as she performed today.
The horse racing events that have been scheduled to take place in Britain and Ireland regions are once again under the threat of extreme weather conditions. The weather in the area has caused the tracks and goings on different racecourses to freeze in places.
The recently reported meetings that are on the verge of getting victimized by the big freeze is the New Castle meeting tomorrow and the sever race card scheduled for Wednesday at the Kelso racecourse. Officials of both racecourses have announced inspections
for tomorrow ahead of the meetings.
