Horse Racing: Dare Me out of Supreme due to hind leg injury
It has been reported that the talented racehorse Dare Me will now not be taking part in any of the racing events this racing season because of the hind leg injury that the racehorse sustained.
The racehorse has been able to impress his fans and connections through his spectacular performances in the last few of his meetings. On the basis of his ever improving progress in the sport, Dare Me was as short as 16-1 for the upcoming Supreme Novices’
Hurdle. The colt was doing great as he posed two impressive victories in two of his starts this racing season. What is more sad is the fact that the colt will not be able to participate in the prestigious Cheltenham Festival that has been scheduled to take
place in March and is the event in the lime light this racing term.
The seven-year old champion is the trainee of the seasoned trainer Philip Hobbs. In the last season’s Weatherbys Champion Bumper, the racehorse managed to finish second to the winner Cue Card. He was thus able to create the perfect impression on the sponsors
and his connections when he was successful in claiming the Exeter novice hurdle twice. Unfortunately, these will be his only achievements in this racing season as he has been ruled out of all the racing events this term.
The correspondents approached the racing manager of the colt’s owner to inquire about the progress of the racehorse. Mick Meagher was reported as saying, “The horse injured a hind leg yesterday and won’t be able to run again this season.”
Dare Me was amongst the 27 short listed competitors on Wednesday for the Supreme event. It has been revealed that now a total of 59 potential runners remain in the race, meanwhile 68 novices. These contenders include the high profile runners, while the others
have been left in the Neptune Investment Management Hurdle.
Moreover, it has been reported that no high profile entries were withdrawn from the JCB Triumph Hurdle or the Albert Barlett Novices’ Hurdle.
