Horse Racing: De c**k to send his team to Newmarket
The John Smith’s Grand National event took place from April 7 to 9,
2011, at the Aintree racecourse. It was enjoyed by the fans of the sport and all those involved in the horse business.
Nonetheless, the unfortunate accidents have left the trainers and many other people in debate regarding the quality of the facilities and fences provided to the contenders of the race.
Besides the death of the two champion racehorses, Dooneys Gate, and, Ornais, the 22-year old conditional jockey, Peter Toole, was also severely injured after his mount Classic Fly fell from the first fence during the race.
On the other hand, other trainers such as, Mike De c**k, are busy preparing their trainees for the upcoming mega events of the season. It has been reported that the aforementioned trainer will be sending a team consisting of champion colts to train at Newmarket
next month so as to train the horses for big races, which includes the names of Falmouth Stakes, Breeders’ Cup and July Cup.
In the high quality team that De c**k has decided to send to Newmarket are the racehorses Golden Sword (the winner of 2009 edition of Chester Vase and runner up to the winner of Irish Derby), Bold Silvano (the winner of 2010 edition of Durban July), the
favourite of the Dubai World Cup and the winner of the J&B Met River Jetez.
The heroine was also the second place finisher of the Dubai Duty Free event that took place at the Meydan racecourse as a feature of the Dubai World Cup.
Other racehorses include the winner of the South African Grade I event Irish Flame, Mahbooba, Musir, Reem and Raihana.
When the famed trainer was approached by the correspondents regarding his plans of sending a team of champions to train at Newmarket, he was reported as saying, “The horses are all having a break and are in quarantine in Dubai. They will leave the first
week in May”.
Now let’s see how the plan of the champion trainer works for his team of champion racehorses at Newmarket.
