Horse Racing: Fistral amongst the 17 contenders of the Racing Post Chase
The talented and champion racehorse, Fistral Beach has been reported to be a part of the upcoming Racing Post Chase that has been scheduled to take place this Saturday. The racehorse was sent off to contend the last edition of this race as 100-30 favourite
with the sponsors, when he was seen to be unseated at the second fence. The champion Fistral will now face 16 rivals in this racing term. The Racing Post Chase will be taking place in the ever famous Kempton racecourse.
This year, Fistral Beach will be contending this event as a 5-1 favourite. He will be ridden by the famed and celebrated jockey, Tony McCoy. It has been reported that the colt will be facing last two winners of this particular event. These two champions
have been reported to be Razor Royale and Nacarat. So far, these two are the prominent rivals of Fistral Beach at the 48 hour final declaration stage.
The winner of the 2010 edition of the Racing Post Chase, Razor Royale, will be running in this race with a weight 1lb higher than what it was in the last racing term. Meanwhile the champion conditional Sam Twiston-Davies has been reported to claim
a 3 lb weight off the back of the 20-1 favourite contender.
As for the defectors, it has been revealed that the two 25-1 favourites Matuhi and Beat The Boys have been named.
Talking to the correspondents on Thursday, the trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies claimed that the two chief competitors and his stable stars, Khyber Kim and Imperial Commander will be taking a racecourse gallop on the Kempton track before the racing on
Saturday.
Khyber Kim was the runner up to the winner in the last year’s edition of the Champion Hurdle event. He will be working at the Kempton racecourse before the race at 1 p.m. GMT. On the other hand, Imperial Commander claimed the Gold Cup last year and
will be take his training session at 1.15 p.m. GMT on Saturday.
The weather reports from the Met Office forecast heavy rainfall of up to 6 mm on Friday night, which will keep the going soft for the Racing Post Chase.
