Horse Racing: Little Josh ruled out for the season
This news will come to the fans of the sport and all those involved in the horse business as a matter of dismay that the Paddy Power winner racehorse Little Josh has been ruled out for the season and will not be taking part in any of the racing events
this term. The colt was the surprise winner of the Paddy Power Gold Cup since he was sent out to contend the race as a 20-1 favourite. It has been reported that he will be missing all the racing events in this season because he has been setback with a leg
injury.
The racehorse trains under the care of the famed trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies. Little Josh was sent out Twiston-Davies to contend the Ryanair Chase for which he was registered as a 33-1 favourite. Meanwhile he also took part in the Grand National event.
Little Josh was the 50-1 shot the latter event.
When the correspondents approached Twiston-Davies to comment on the present condition of the racehorse and his future plans for this season, he was reported as saying that the racehorse has sustained only a minor injury to the leg and there is nothing
significant to worry about. Nonetheless, he added that he does not think it would be very wise to send him out to the track for the rest of the season.
The trainer further went on to say that he will assess the whole situation and the progress of the racehorse before he makes any decision regarding his ventures next year, but he will not be a part of any racing event this year.
On the other hand, it was also reported on Wednesday that the racehorse Dare Me has been ruled out of the Stan James Supreme Novices’ Hurdle after he sustained a hind leg injury. Before being ruled out, the colt gave impressive performances in two
of his ventures this season. Dare Me will also not be taking part in any racing event this year. The seven year old racehorse trains under the care of the famed trainer Philip Hobbs.
