Trainer Paul Nicholls has a strong chance of making his name in the Keith Prowse Hospitality Tingle Creek Chase that will be taking place at Sandown. Nicholls is sending out, two powerful contenders to compete in the start. Among the ten entries of the upcoming event, Master Minded and Twist Magic will be making it to the field. The two aforementioned colts have won the last three editions of the event.
The last five editions of the Grade I 2 mile event have been won by Nicholls. In the 2008 running of the race, Master Minded lead Twist Magic. Meanwhile, he will become the dual winner of the race, alongside Twist Magic and Kauto Star, if he manages to win the start that is scheduled to take place on Saturday 4th of December 2010.It is revealed by Master Minded’s connections, that Tony McCoy will be rejoining the seven-year-old racehorse owned by Clive Smith. The last time, the two worked in coalition was the 2008 edition of the event. The couple gave a spectacular performance and stole the show by holding off, Twist Magic who will be ridden by Sam Thomas. Twist Magic finished the race in the second place, ten lengths behind the winner. McCoy is a great feature to the Saturday’s fixture, as the fifteen time jump jockey champion, has been nominated for the Sports Personality of the Year Award. He is the only sports person affiliated to horse racing, to have made it to the top ten lists.
Besides Nicholls, Nicky Henderson will also be sending out two of his trainees including, French Opera and Petit Robin amongst the ten competitors of the race. The runner-up of
Arkle, Somersby and winner of Sinbad Chase, Gauvin are also two of the ten colts who will be starting the race. The meeting is also affected by the freezing weather conditions in the country. The consequences of the harsh weather conditions can be the shifting of the race to some other place.Cheltenham is considered the most likely venue, if the initial venue is moved. Meanwhile, the initial ten entries of the race will not be changed, according to the officials of the Sandown racecourse.
