Horse Racing: Master Minded to contend the Chandler Chase
Famous trainer Paul Nicholls will be sending out his talented racehorse Master Minded, who will be heading the three probables from the trainer’s stable. It was revealed that Master Minded was declared amongst the 12 entries for
the upcoming Victor Chandler Chase. The Grade I event has been scheduled to take place on the 22nd of January at the Ascot racecourse, in Great Britain.
Master Minded has a number of spectacular performances to his credit. These performances include his two-time victory in the Champion Chase, claiming both the races in this racing season. Moreover, the colt was also the winner
of the 2009 edition of the Victor Chandler Chase. This year, he will be facing his stable mates, also saddled by Paul Nicholls, Free World and Tchico Polos in the Grade I meeting.
This race will be of particular significance for all those involved in the horse business since the celebrated trainer Nicky Henderson will also be sending out three of his trainees in this meeting. The list of these three colts
includes the name of Petit Robin. The colt has a history of finishing second to Master Minded by a distance of eight lengths in the Keith Prowse Hospitality Tingle Creek that took place at Cheltenham last month. The other two of the Henderson’s trainees are
Mad Max and French Opera.
As for the two very competitive trainers Paul Nicholls and Nicky Henderson, they are the winners of four of the previous six editions of the event, which takes place over a distance of 2 miles and 1 furlong.
It is expected that the field at Ascot will be completed by the racehorses that were recently defeated at the prestigious Tingle Creek. Amongst them is the third place finisher Somerby, the fourth place finisher I’m So Lucky, the
fifth place finisher Guavin, and the seventh place finisher Kalahari King. Other entries include the racehorse Crack Away Jack and Herecomesthetruth. The aforementioned colts train under the care of the trainer Emma Lavelle and will be competing on behalf
of the Chris Gordon’s stable.
On the other hand, the trainer Paul Nicholls revealed yesterday that his undefeated trainee Big Buck’s would not be contending the Betfair Cleeve Hurdle event. He took this decision so that Big Buck’s has enough time to relax before
he goes on to claim the World Hurdle meeting for the third time this racing season.
