Horse Racing: Starluck all set to make chase debut at Huntingdon 
It has been reported that the fancied competitor of the Surprise Irish Independent Arkle, Starluck, will be making his chase over the fences at the Huntingdon racecourse on Thursday. The six-year old racehorse trains under the care of the famed trainer
Alan Fleming. He took part in the last year’s edition of the Champion Hurdle and was able to finish the race in the fifth spot. Moreover, he was the third place finisher in the Christmas Hurdle that took place in January, behind the racehorse Binoculars. As
the racehorse is training for the upcoming Cheltenham Festival that has been scheduled to take place in March, it has been reported that Starluck will have to face only three rivals in the Weatherbys Cheltenham Festival Betting Guide Novices’ Chase.
However, as he will be competing over the fences, he will face two of his rivals with winning chase form. These two includes the name of the racehorse Mister Stick. He trains under the care of the trainer Alan King and claimed the novice chase that
took place at Wincanton this month. Starluck’s other major rival will be Pascha Bere, who won his chase debut by quite a wide margin and is generally a 66-1 favourite for the Arkle meeting.
Apart from the aforementioned colts, it has also been revealed that Minella Class, who is trained by the famed trainer, Nicky Henderson, will be featuring in the Huntingdon meeting on Thursday.
On the other hand, Starluck, the novice hurdler will also be featuring in the Supreme Novice meeting that has been sponsored by Stan James. He is a 20-1 favourite for this event. Meanwhile, the six-year old is also an entry of the Investment Management
Novices’ Hurdle, for which he is recorded as a 10-1 favourite with the sponsors.
The prominent racehorses that will be opposing Starluck in the upcoming Sidney Banks Memorial Novices’ Hurdle include Captain Kirkton, who has been recorded as a 50-1 favourite with Neptune, Pride In Battle, who has been recorded as a 33-1 favourite
with the sponsors and Albert Barlett.
