Im always looking to read and learn new methods of training sometimes i like to try them other times i just find it interesting to read. If any one could give me a website or a name of a good book that offers good training tips, advice, and methods that would be great.

  1. Check e bay for training videos...I've heard you can pick them up very reasonably.

  2. The Manual of Equitation

  3. Horse.com has a new feature with training videos. They have some that are free.  But you can buy a subscription to the training video library.

    Here is the website.

    http://www.horse.com/horsemanship-traini...

    I like the free ones so I can only imagine how good the sub ones are!!

    Good Luck with the horses!

  4. If you google these guys, you wont be disapointed :)

    Pat Parelli

    John Lyons

    Chris Irwin

    Even if you google "Natural Horsemanship Trainers" you will find some pretty interested stuff! :)  Good Luck and happy training!

  5. the top people i would recommend to look into are;

    Kelly Marks

    monty roberts

    Heather Moffett

    their techniques really do work and have regard for the horse and it's natural instincts (rather than parelli methods which aim to take a horse's insincts away and in essence break a horse's spirit) they get great results and are not methods which you have to spend loads of money on to buy loads of gear, it's the technique that counts.

    the best books i would recommend reading are;

    * Perfect manners by Kelly Marks

    * Perfect partners by Kelly marks (both are great for groundwork and young horses

    * enlightened equitation by Heather moffett (ridden work)

    they all also have websites if you want to look them up :)

    hope this helped xx

  6. www.marvwalker.com

    he has a free text version of the bonder, and he also offers a variety of videos covering many aspects of ground training.  besides that, he has a yahoo group   www.yahoogroups.com/marvwalkerhorses  i think is the link.  that is a great resourse, as well.

    best of luck.
