  1. Hores's pee alot! so you should clean it every other day.

  2. every day

make sure to look for the horses pee under the sawdust or watever you have.  dont just get the poo.

  3. Every day!

If the horse is on straw - you take out the wet bits and the lumps and fluff the straw up again.

If the horse is on shavings you take out the lumps, scrape back the shavings to reveal the wet part underneath, take it out and reset the shavings.

You can deep litter whereby you take out the lumps and the worst of the wet.  But this is not the best option.

Urine contains ammonia and a build up of this in the stable will contaminate the water and the horse wont drink as much as he should.

You save much more bedding by doing it each day.  Deep littering which is leaving the wet and taking it out once a week actually uses more because the surrounding bedding acts like blotting paper and it seeps out to it.

You should also skip out if they horses happen to be in during the day.  They will need nets at breakfast lunch and tea - skip out at these times to save the bedding.  You can do this with a thick pair of rubber gloves and bucket which you then tip into a wheelbarrow.

  4. yes, @ least twice @ the least a week

  5. I would do it daily ,,

always have ,, Less flies and I want my horses to have a fresh stall everyday ..

  6. i clean them out every day one for the smell and two i would not want to be a horse living in a stall thats dirty and smelly.

You should clean it out daily.

Twice a week wow that is going to be one stall that is going to be grody and yuck to clean up. That is not good you should clean it up daily because if they are going to be in it alot you are going to have to clean it more the more they are in there. You cant leave them in there that long and clean it twice a week. The smell is going to affect their water and they are not going to eat or drink if thats going to be the way. Would you clean up if you lived and it was dirty? i would hope so. You should keep it clean as possible for them. they are the ones walking on it and sleeping in the stall. So you would like to make it nice for them.
