Question:

Horse breeds that have ankles like gypsies?

So, I really love the mane of gypsy horses and especially their shaggy ankles(lawl, yeah, I'm weird), but I don't really like how short their average height is (I've seen non-crosses usually 14-15 hh or so).

What other breeds of horses are there that are similar to gypsies in terms of their ankles and mane, ect. ?

I know drafts can have the shaggy ankles...

  6. Shire.  That's one of the main breeds used to make Gypsy Vanners, and that's where they get the pretty splashy coloring and furry feet.  They're also nice and tall.

    Freisians also have shaggy ankles.

  7. Clydesdale horses which are incredibly tall

  8. Shire, Clysdale, Perchron, Belgian basically any large horse or draft. i know there is a breed that starts with and f but its got a weird spelling. you probally find it in a breed book and others.

  9. friesian
