Now that its finally summer I've been riding my horse outside a lot and i've noticed many very large mosquiteos that are attacking his neck and face, and seeing as how they can carry dieses I would like to find a bug spray for him that actually works. So if anyone has a good spray that they use on their horse please let me now! Thanks.

and all his shots are up to date...if that has to do with anything

  1. Marigold works, so does Endure and Happy Horse Fly Spray. No fly spray lasts for for then 24 hours, dont believe that! Home remadies?  Bronco? Good luck with that!  Remember, you get what you pay for!

  2. I PURCHASED A MINERAL/SALT BLOCK FOR MY HORSE THIS SUMMER, A FIVE POUND BLOCK COST ME 23.00 AND IT NOT ONLY HAS HELPED WITH THE FLIES AND MOSQUITOES BUT HELPED KEEP THEM AWAY FROM THE MANURE AS WELL, AS FAR AS A BUG SPRAY I HAVE HAD GOOD LUCK WITH A SPRAY CALLED BRONCO THAT ALSO REPEALS TICKS, HOPE THIS HELPS

  3. I use repel x and it works great for my horse. It takes care of those big mosquitoes, horse flies, etc.

  4. I use paranah fly spray. I love it.

  5. All of them work differently for different bugs in different areas. It seems like every year we have to change which one we use because the bugs just ignore the ones we used last year. We have used rodeo because it's cheap and it works good and if you are willing to spend a lot of money on bug spray bug block works amazing. Also we use this absorbine fly repellent wound stuff on the spots that they are really getting eaten up if you notice the bugs being attracted to a specific spot on your horse

  6. give him garlic it will excreate through his skin and will make flys and mosquitos leave him alone. it works on any horses and is not bad for horses.

  7. Just use flyspray.  You can buy it online: http://www.google.com/products?q=flyspra...  Or you can go to your local horse supplies store.  I'm sure they would have it.

  8. The absolute best (in my opinion) is the Marigold fly spray from EQyss. It's kind of expensive compared to others but it smells so good, like sweet tarts I think! I even spray a little on myself because it's non-toxic and works really good. I get it at the tack/ feed store but it's available on-line and in catalogs I think, just in case you're interested. Well hope you find what your looking for!! It's also all natural I believe!

  9. Go to the feed store or your horse supply store and ask what's working the best this year. Unfortunately it depends on the area more than the brand or ingredients. I've used Skin So Soft from Avon for the face, some years it works others it doesn't! You can do the fabric softener sheets...but it looks ridiculous!!

  10. You can use skin so soft by Avon that works great. I use for a fly spray Ultra shield or I use a Marigold spray. I like both of them, they work for most types of bugs. You can also try getting a special fly mask that goes over your horse bridle. I have one and that works great. I also carry a crop with me to beat the bugs off of my horse neck and ears. And last we use jumpers ears they just slip over the bridle and cover the horses ears and forelock.
