  1. yes call the equine dentist and kudos to you for checking your horses teeth...most ppl only ride and they dont bother to examine their horse(s)

  2. My vet used to come out twice a year to floot my older horse's teeth. It doesn't hurt them and does help with food digestion. Alot of it depends on what tooth it is but it  is better to be safe than sorry and just get it done.

  3. Its up to you. I get my horses teeth worked on once a year, well I was doing it every 6 months, but it was a special case. Anyway once a year is what im finally doing and if its not bothering him then dont worry until his yearly check up comes. Thats just what I would do, not saying I am a pro

Horses can physically not throw up. If a horse throws up, then you've got other problems and Im wont scare you with that. He might salavate a lot if it is bothering him

  4. If its not bothering him then don't worry about it.

  5. The answer depends on which tooth and where it's chipped.  You ought to have his teeth floated once a year, anyway.

  6. a chipped tooth can be a serious problem, but it isn't always.. if it is bothering him, call the dental worker, if not.. it will heal itself. the tooth can be causing him pain and when you are riding, the bit may irritate it and cause him to spook and possibly throw up.

  7. yea.. call soon, you dont want him to get any teeth problems just in case!
