Question:

Horse falling to Knees - Update?

For all of you who helped me find out what was wrong with this families horse... this is it.

They had the vet come out. The vet did some tests, having him trot etc. She had the girl ride, took X rays. Well she pinched his toe, and found out his toes were sore in both front hooves. and his coffin bone had rotated 13 degrees in one, and 8 in the other. So the farrier is putting full pads on his feet and then hopefully he will be okay.

thanks for everyone who helped out

  1. Not to be repetitive,  but since I don't really have a choice..."thanks for the update"!!

Glad to hear all is better and a positive prognosis was given...

    PS~

I'm sure I don't only speak for myself as I and many others really care about the people and legitimate issues and problems presented here.

We appreciate updates.....so please let us know what happens...closure is nice....Thanks!!

  2. Thank you for the update.  I wish it had just been an issue of balance, but hopefully this great little guy will have years of painfree productive living with his new pads!

  3. Good to hear and thanks for the update.  We don't often get those.  You might want them to check the saddle for balance.  Toes torking out like that could be a sign of imbalance when ridden too.

    Farriers rock.

  4. Thanks for the update, I'm releived that the girl is going to get to keep her horse! (:

  5. Thankz.* for the update.x

Best of luck for your poor pony and family *
