Horse lessons?

where can u get horse lesson in virginia for a pretty cheap price but make it a very fun xperience! cause i love horses & really wanna learn how 2 ride them but i cant find a place that isnt xtremely xpensive! like $200

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! (p.s. ITS IN VIGINIA REMBER!)

it really just depends on what you want to do.

there are various types of horse riding. the simplest breakdown is English vs. Western. they have different saddles, different goals, and different costs all together.

Western is more of the trail rides if you don't want to become that serious, but if you wish to become competitive there are options of pole bending, barrel racing, Western pleasure... the options are infinite.

For English, you have the option of jumping (Hunter/Jumper) whichever you prefer. There is Dressage, Flat Work, Equitation over fences, or Flat Equitation.

I used to ride at a barn called Woodlawn Stables near Ft. Belvoir in Alexandria. And they trained for English and you could jump if you wanted that route. Sweet, sweet people, and not too expensive.

As for Dressage, there is a stable in Bull Run called Bull Run Stables. The owners name is Joan, she is friends with Olympic riders and she is simply fantastic. Beautiful facilities, docile horses, and she has classes for all experience levels.

Once you answer what you want to do, it really narrows your options. I used ot ride Western, but I never really got into it - I'm a loyal jumper now. :)

Locate a farm or training center convenient to where you live.  Offer to work for lessons.  The price will be right and the experience will be priceless.

Virginia is historically rich in equine population and equestrians.  There is always plenty or work and riding to be done.
