I'm buying a 15.2 bay gelding, but his name is Broker and I hate that. What are some show names and barn names, or any websites with good names?? Thanks SO MUCH!

first of all, how old is he?  because if you change his name when he is older, he's deffinatly NOT going to understand when you call him in the field or whatever.

and second, its bad luck to change a horse's name.  you should only change it if the horse has a name like "Stinky" or "Horse".  For example, my friend bought a horse from a riding stable.  She was a 15 year old black and white leopard appaloosa.  The lady from the stable said that they called her "Lady in Lace" or "Lacey" for short.  And she said that the person that owned her before named her "Pete".  lol, not a very lady-like name for a mare.

But sadly, she died of cancer last year.

It's bad luck to change a horse's name!!!!!!!

p.s. and what's wrong with the name "Broker"? The one lady at my barn owns a horse named "Broker".  It sounds tough, like he is a wild mustang or something like that!!! =]

Have you ever heard the superstition that it is bad luck to change a horses name, lol. . . but if you are looking to change his name type in horse names in google and browse throught the websites they give you.  What will this horse be doing? Eventer, Hunter, Jumper, Western?  That helps when deciding on a name. . . and what about his pesonality?  Any markings?  I will check back and see if I can give you any ideas.
