Okay, I'm getting a horse and his registered name is Star Dancer so I wanted to give him a sophisticated nickname not something like "Starry", or something like that you know what I mean? But the only thing I came up with is "Dancer" and to me that just doesn't sound very good so can you please help!?

  1. Stanley, DJ, if you're looking for more masculine names, since he's a gelding, or a stallion.

    Steve, Spartan (ahaha)

    There's DJ, Danny-boy, David, etc.

  2. try a name that fits the horses look

  3. why not,. .

go with something totally different from his orginal name so  maybe,

    Yogi

    Juggler

    Tanzi

    Token

    Pepsi

    Tigger

    Tango

    Jigsaw

    Rambo

Jazz--< my fav. because it is what people dance too

    Flash

    Eddie

    Magic

    Herbie

    Jinks

    Calpso

    Jive

    Max

    Ollie

    Toby

    Robin

    Coco

    Lyrics

    Charlie

    Bruno

    Jayjay

    and why not star..

let me know if this helped..x *

    GoodLuck Babe 'ox

  4. i'd call him stance (letters from STAr and daNCEr) or Tsar or if you wanted something plainer just stan or dan....

just keep messing with the letters of the two words till you find something you like

  5. Call him Stompy

  6. Cer (pronounced like Sir) would be my pic...or maybe Danny

I like to keep the barn name as part of the registered name, but know plenty of people who pick a completly different barn name.

  7. why dont you find a famous dancer ( a star dancer) and name it that persons first name

  8. Danny

or perhaps name him after a famous male dancer, for example

    Fred Astaire- Freddy

    Or, how about 'Busta'/Buster

    as in 'Busta move'?!?

Add: Was just thinking and there's a horse at my mum's friend's riding school called 'Tango'. She was named after the drink, but that's a dance too.

  9. Native Dancer (if he's from that bloodline)

What discipline do you ride him?

  10. Tiny Dancer comes to my mind for some reason.

  11. if that horse already has a name then you should make his nickname almost the same... because if you change his name then he will get confused and that is not good. i think you can name him Star. It's a great name for an animal and it's funny and sophisticated in the same time.....and it won't confuse Star Dancer. :)....

  12. Star is good. A horse at my barn, his name is Lord of Winter but his barn name is Cole. Maybe that can help you find a good name.Hope I helped!

  13. find a name that fits the horses personality. my horse's name is nightstar. and i call him night, or star. or star boo, ect

  14. Boo boo is a funny name,

  15. Guess it depends on if you are wanting to keep his reg. name involved with his nick name - if so your limited!

    Star

    Dancer

    Dance

    Dan?

If your looking for something something unique or diffferent -

    Go with

    Paco

    Cisco

    Cinco

    Bandit

    Banner

    Chief

    Raisan

    Motion

  16. Staring?

  17. blaze -beacuse of his blaze

    red - because he's a redish chestnut

    chess? - chestnut

  18. The show name and a barn name don't have to be related at all. I know hundreds of horses whose names aren't related to their show names. Pick something that suites your horse and makes you happy, but if you would really like a name like that, how about Dan (if it's a gelding)? I also think that Dancer sounds like a perfectly good name.

  19. Synonym for Star:  Astral

Synonym for Dancer:  Two-Step, Fox-Trot, Tango

  20. well how about Danny from the dancer part, or maybe just even star, if hes used to his name id try to keep it similar to Star dancer as he may be used to getting called this.

  21. Mr. Ed.
