Horse problem HELP!!

Question

i love horses and have had lesson & a pony(sold now)

But i am never able to stick to it because i get scared to easy

i dont know how to over come it

id like to get another pony but have to show my parents i will stick with it

im 14

can some1 please give me some tips on how to over come it

just be brave the worst possible thing to happen is you could fall off just trust yourself and trust your horse most importatly!

  Hey...... Whatever...  Something is telling you horses ain't  Ur thing.. Don't worry theres other ways to prove Ur a man. Just ask Superman "horses ain't everyone's bag..".

First of all, you need to feed it and take care of it yourself.  (Not your parents).  That way the horse will get used to you and know your the one that it can count on the bring it feed, fix it's feet, give it shots, bathe it, and keep it brushed.  Next, whatever you do don't be scared when you are on the horse.  For some reason, they can tell when you are scared and they will take advantage to that.  YOU be in control.  I've got a quarter horse mare and she hadn't been rode in a long time when I bought her.  She had been broken but when I got on her she would keep backing up on me and wanting to go back to the barn.  I took the raines and whooped the heck out of that neck.  She tried to fight and kick her head up but she finally realized I was in control and not backing down.  The main thing is spend time with your horse and talk to it and eventually you will lose the scared part of it.  Also, having a horse is a big responsibility.  But, your the only one that can make that call.  Hope this helps.
