so what do you think, does time form have it right? if not how would you rate?

also i heard a race in up-state new york a couple of days ago, the winner was a horse named AHHHH!

anyway being an aussie i found the call hillarious, if anybody could find me a working link so i can hear it again, it would be much appreciated!

its probably the funniest call i have heard since shhh! was racing a few years back in brisbane!

  1. Big Brown we all know is rubbish. I was disappointed with Youmzain in the King George, however, I think he may turn the tables on "The Duke" in the L'Arc. Curlin best horse in the world on dirt, doesn't appear to be heading to France now, but would be intersting if he runs in the Breeders Cup Turf as that race usually has some top Euro talent.

Regarding your Saratoga race call of Arrrrrrr, it is on youtube.com. Type in "Tom Durkin race calls" and it should be one of the first few hits being so recent. Make sure you select the Saratoga race as youtube also has a race of Arrrrrr from Belmont in which the call isn't as good.

  2. Being and Aussie it was great to see Weekend Hussler to get such a good rating, but if the ratings are truly correct then why are people saying the Australian Horse Of The Year competion is so close between The Hussler and The Cat, personally i think The Hussler's a shoe in for the title.

  3. It's an interesting field, with a very diverse, international mixture!  I agree with the 134 for Curlin.  He is in top form and has taken on all comers.  Even his loses have been in good races against the top compitition.  I think he has proven himself worthy of the top rating.

The horse I have a problem with is Big Brown.  I think he is a bit over rated at 132.  He is a good 3 year old, who has been aided by racing against a very mediocre 3 year old class.  None of the other  3 year olds who have run in the Triple Crown races has gone on to distinguish themselve afterward.  So you have to ask, is Big Brown just a slightly above average horse, running against below average horses!  If you take into consideration the fact that War Pass and Georgie Boy, Two colts who would probably been favored over Big Brown, missed the Triple Crown....it gives you an idea of the strength of the field as a whole.  When Big Brown races against the older horses, we will get a better idea of how good he is.  I would guess that if Big Brown had run in the Whitney against Commentator and the others....he would have finished well off the board.

As for the great call of the race that included AHHHH, I have a better one for you......there once was a sprinter named....Hoof Hearted!  Say that fast and with the excitement of the race....Hood Hearted....what a gas!!!
