Does anyone know any good exercises i can do with my 3 year old filly, she's broken but isn't yet balanced. I haven't tried lunging yet, any ideas will be appreciated.

  1. all circles/bending exercises are good.  also trotting poles can help with balance.  lunging is a great thing too - you should give it a go!

  2. try zig zagging on the rail.  then try it a little faster until you get confortable.  also you can walk on the short end of the ring and trot on the long end.  hope it helps.

  3. Figures of 8 in a sandschool? Random direction changes..

  4. you can start off with a 20m circle and just keep making it smaller and smaller this will work both sides of your horse do it 3 times give your horse a break so she doesn't get dizzy then do it 3 times the other direction , also if you set up 2 trot poles vertically  like " l l " and make your horse walk then trot then canter through them, and after you feel comfortable doing hat move them in closer and closer.

  5. troting in and out buckets
