Question:

Horse riding in a trailer?

I've often seen horse trailers moving along the freeway with the horses starring out the back, and I always wonder if the horses say to themselves why the earth is moving so fast below us and we're not running. Do you think the horses know what is going on?

  1. Horses actually travel better if they can find their own footing in the trailer. That is why a horse will look out the back. It is because their more comfortable riding that direction. Horses can brace themselves better against bumps & stoping & starting in traffic. This does not show neglegence on the driver or owners part. Some trailer manufactors are building trailers with reverse slant load so the horses are loaded through the side & facing backward while they travel. I'm not sure if one can determine what the horse is thinking since a horses brain isn't equiped with the ability to reason.

  2. if the horses head is sticking out the back, that is a negligent owner! the horses load head first, and so their tails should be the only part you can see. horses generally know what a trailer does, and realize it takes them to another area, and enjoy the cool breeze blowing through the vents! it gets awful hot in there without them.

  3. The part of the horse pointed out the back of the trailer can't see, and they weren't winking at you! I wonder if you know what is going on.
