1)Horse riders shouldn't be involved in belly danceing or loosining hips and back through dance movements because you need a stiff back to ride well.

2)women dont just ride for fun it infact has to do with stimulation and turning a female on from rubbing movement in the saddle

im supposed to take up dance classes next week so im curious coz im also a horse rider.

the second one i can say seems an absalute myth becoz from my own experiances its rubbish but apparently theres more to it.

  1. yeah, i think thats a myth. i danced for years and ride horses. i barrel race, pole bend, breakaway roping, goat tying, and cutting. but i also just ride everyday to keep my horses in shape and on the weekends sometimes i will trail ride. i have never really paid attention to the "stimulation" from the saddle so thats def. not why i ride. but dancing will not keep you from being a good rider. it has never effected me or my little sister.

    hope this helped. :)

  2. Its all BULLS##T

  3. Actually my college equestrian team had a dancing class every week.  I don't think horseback riding has anything to do with being "stiff."  It's all about moving with the horse, not being stiff.  I think dancing will help you be a better rider because you'll be using different muscle groups and you'll be making your legs stronger and you'll learn to be more flexible.

As for the second, I suppose if you wanted the saddle to rub you, you could sit in a way for that to happen.  For ordinary riding, there's no rubbing involved.  People say that about riding motorcycles too... I don't think it's true for that either.
