  1. Centenary College is one I can think of- they are mainly horse focused. Other possiblities you may want to consider are NC State University ( the vet tech program there is one of the best in the country, and they also have an excellent vet school as well) the University of Pennsylvania, which has also has an excellent vet tech and equine science program, AND an outstanding vet school ( think New Bolton Vet Hospital, because these are the folks who own and operate that facility) and such schools as Virginia Intermont College and Sweetbriar College. In the New England area, there are some other choices, including the University of New Hampshire ( which again has a vet tech program, an equine science program, and a vet school), Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, and Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. Schools in the south include NC State, St. Andrews Presbyterian College ( also in NC, for those who are geographically challenged) and the University of Georgia. All of these schools have either a vet tech program, an equine studies or science program, or a vet school- and those that do not have a vet school usually will offer pre-vet courses and training. And let's not forget Purdue University in Indiana, which has all 3 of these things. ( I grew up near Purdue, so I am familiar with what they offer. ) Hope this helps you figure out where you want to go to school.

  2. If you mean Technology -Tech???

  3. Such as a 2-year program?  What kind of program are you looking to get into?  I went to a very well-respected one called University of Findlay in Findlay, OH.  They offer an associates degree in both English and Western horse training.  They also offer a bachelor's degree in Equine Business Management (that's what I have).  Their website is www.findlay.edu.

  4. Um... there is a school in Dayton, OH or around there.  it is called the Bell Ray institute.  I think... pssh I have no idea it is probably wrong I forgot what it is called! lol

  5. Centenary college one of the best equestrian schools

  6. I know two!!!

University of Guelph - Guelph Ontario

    - THE MOST RESPECTED AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITIES IN NORTH AMERICA

    - Offers many courses in equine

    - Courses that will get you to become a vet for horses or cows only

    - Vet school that was estabulished in 1862

KEMPVILLE IS WELL KNOWN AS HORSE COLLEGE.

    - This college has various courses strictly to equine in both Western and English riding skills

    - Courses - Equine Management Degree - you must have at least 7 University or University/College Courses and have a high degree of Horse knowledge and have the atomomity of the horse down pat as you get to treat horses, needle them, treat and massaging them

    - Equine Management Certificate - You should have good grades in College Level and a good knowledge of horses and know the basic body parts of the horse.

Both of these are extremley tough to get in but don't give up. And they are a bit pricey but it is worth it.

It costs around $13,000 for 4 semesters which includes boarding of your horses, feed, hay, pasture, useage of the riding facility.

$11,000 for the use of an horse (lease) and usage of tack and bridle. Make sure you visit it as it is just 20 minutes from Ottawa for Kemptville and Guelph is located about 1.5 hours from Niagara Falls, Canada.

You can take a tour of The campus and many more options on the websites for free and can get more information.
