  1. i think its the same as human  google it

  2. 1 horse year= 1 people year. a YEAR is a YEAR! 365 days withe a leap year occasionally. "dog years", "horse years", whatever animal "years" is just made up. a horse lives a years just like people live for years. there can be similarities i guess like a 30 year old horse is like a 90 year old person, because horses generally pass around 20-25 years of age. (as far as i've learned)

  3. ok it's the same as ours so it's uno

  4. It is the same as human years I believe.

  5. This is sort of accurate, I think:

    http://horses.about.com/library/calcs/bl...

    1 horse year = 2.2 human years, 5 horse years = 11 human years, 10 = 22, 15 = 33, 20 = 44, 25 = 55, 30 = 66, 35 = 77, 40 = 88. It's not THAT accurate, because most horses live to be anywhere from 25 - 30, which comes out to 55 - 66, and people don't die of old age at 55 - 66. People die at 77, which comes out to 35, but most horses don't live that long...anyway, it's accurate enough, I guess...

  6. 4, im pretty sure you mean like how long they live compared or maturatity level.  For instance:

A horse reaches adulthood (can have babies, etc) at the age of 2 years (minimum age-4 years is the preferred age).  Physically, an 8 year old human could have get pregnant (it happens unfortunately).  16 year olds have kids too.  But 2 year olds?  No.  Which is why the years are NOT the same.

Also, horses live to be about 25 years old.  That's like a human living to be 100.  People don't die of old age at 25.

  7. multiply the horse age by 3 and that will be its age in human age

  8. i'm pretty sure their's are the same as ours. horses can live to be about 30-35 if well cared for.

  9. the average life span of a horse is 25 - 30 years (that's an average, some live more [even up to 40 years !] some live less).  So in terms of human years, each "horse year" equals about 3 "human years".  However since a horse reaches full adulthood at about the age of 5 than the factor is not linear.  In the first 5 years the factor is about 4 (as an average) than the factor decreases to about 3.

    Best regards,

  10. One human year is equivilant to three and a third horse years.

Think about it, a 25 year old horse would be the equivilant of an 82 and a half year old person.  Some are in GREAT shape, some not so great.  Like peoplel they are getting better care and feed and lasting a LOT longer than they would have say 40 years ago.
