Horsebackriding again?

My sister and I had to quit horseback riding about two years because the cost was fairly high. We loved the sport , the horses , and everything about it. We had started jumping about a year before we quit so if we joined back up again where would we have to start speaking skills wise and how much would it cost (we need new boots , helmets , pants , etc.)

I rode from 6yo til I was about 13 or 14. I stopped and didn't ride again til my mid twenties, when I met my wife who was a rider. I was jumping again in about my 2nd or 3rd lesson.

It's like riding a bike, you'll never forget how to do it, although you may be a little apprehensive!

My daughters go years in between riding and pick it right back up where they left off...it's like riding a bicycle...but they grew up on horses so it could be different.

Check around your area for the cost of lessons, if that's what you plan on...or are you going to buy horses?

MMMMMMMMmmm alot off money but if you want to start up again you got to be committed dont go wasting your parents money

ya about the same thing happened to me, my horse rared up threw me off and almost crushed me, but what i did was just get in a round pen and just ride and then go to a trot then gallop.but lately the money has been raised. boots are about $40.00, a helmet $20.00, and a saddle would be around $130.00 but it depend where you go

not jumping MAYBE trotting poles but mostly just trotting/cantering 4 awile till u get comfy w/ riding again. idk bout the money issue depends on where ur gonna get it. i mean, i found a pair of boots 4 15 dollars and got a really nice helmet 4 bout 50. check out ebay 4 sum breeches i got a pair 4 10 bux there 1ce (shipping and evrything) good luck!!
