How much is a 16 horsepower gain in performance (for example will i definitely be able to tell a difference when driving compared to it now)? Does it better fuel economy as well, to have a higher horsepower?

  1. it all depends on how heavy what you are drivin is as for fuel economy it wont be a huge diffrent but will cost a bit more for fule as the revs will go higher

  2. It depends on what you started with.  16 HP added to a 320 HP engine is a 5% increase, hardly noticable.  Adding 16 HP to a 75 HP engine is a 21% increase and you'll defantly feel it.

As for economy it depends on how you added the power.  If it is with efffiency parts that improve air flow you'll have little change in MPG.  If it was tweeking the engine parameters or adding forced air induction components you will see a loss in MPG.

  3. 16 extra HP on a motorcycle is is super

16 extra HP on a Cadillac is like a drop in the bucket.

What are you asking?  It doesn't make sense.

    Good Luck...

  4. It all depends on what it is one....... Like stated above, I have a 280 lb bike that had 42 hp from the factory(13.XX 1/4 mile) did some work to it, dynoed at 59 hp rear wheel, it has a best of11.34 with 190 lbs of rider on it(no gearing or weight change).  chances are in a bigger car, there will be no seat of the pants difference.....
