  1. Ptrobrn- try educating yourself before you answer questions.  You sound unbelieveably foolish.  People REGULARLY lease horses, if you knew anything about the horse world you'd know that!  Why don't you take your brilliant mind elsewhere if you can't be useful?

Edit: "I'm going to NFR" - I'm sorry, did anybody ASK your opinion on the economy??  Answer the question or leave it alone!  Nobody wants to know whether YOU think they should own or lease a horse!  Who do you think you are?

  2. Like i said to everybody else who ask these questions

The ecnomy suck you don't need a horse right now you just want one

    Can't you just take lessons

It is so expensive to own a horse these days....Do not lease a horse.

  3. NO SORRY DON'T KNOW ANYONE BUT THIS SITE IS BRILL FOR LEASING.

  4. Actually, at many riding stables, the horses are up for lease. Its other animals that usually arent leaseable. Horses are a different story. Although you dont want any tips, I really dont think that you should find a horse to lease from an online source. Due to safety reasons. Plus, looking for a horse locally will let you see the horse for yourself before considering to lease it, and you should know how it  feels like to ride the horse first.

Anyways, I wish you the best of luck.

  5. ptrobrn is wrong - LOADS of people loan out horses, at least they do in the UK. I'd put and ad up in tack shops and feed shops etc looking for one. Also magazines/papers that are local to your area. Their is a "Horses For Loan - WANTED" section in my local AdTrader and I read it looking for people who potentially could loan my TB who is going out for part loan. I don't advertise him as I know from past experience you get a lot of time wasters calling up! For example, I was selling a Riding Club Thoroughbred a few years ago, advertised as suitabel for SJ prospect etc. and he was only 15hh. A man rang me asking if the horse would be a suitable quiet hack for a 17 stone man to learn on?!!?!

  6. Most of the nice horses (like what you want) are for sale only. The owners know the horses value and when you end the lease in two years the horse will probably not be worth as much. I doubt you will find a horse that meets the requirements that you like as well. Sorry.

And why in the world do you want/need and horse that big? Just wondering cause I dont think I have ever seen a height minimum that high.

  7. put adds up every where, u can put them in the paper, onthe internet and so on.

but ya, one of the ONLY ways to find one is to join a local stable or club. they normally always have horses to lease.

  8. well i am guessing you are tall because you want the horse to be almost 17 hands. um um i don't know of anyone. but try your local tack stores and stuff. or you could do to websites like horsetopia.com and put up a wanted ad well good luck. Sabrina

  9. Try Craigslist or Horsetopia.

  10. your probably having trouble because people don't usually lease animals.  I would check to see if there is a horse back riding club some place.  You might be able to rent for the day possibly without a guide.
