Lots of horse ranches and horses for sale.

Also, Hwy 377 between the Mid Cities and Whitesboro. Same thing.

For horses to rescue, check out Petfinder.com and click on "horses" and enter your zip code.  You'll see photos and descriptions of rescued horses that are up for adoption.  This might be a less expensive way to find a great horse and to do a good thing.  Other rescues with horses are:   hopeforhorses.com   and  the SPCA of Texas in McKinney.
