  1. I prefer horses, cause you can do soo much stuff that you can't do with ponies! (not that theres anything wrong with ponies, though; my youngest daughter owns one!) Thoroughbreds are a nice breed to own, especially if you like to race or are a jockey. They also make nice dressage horses. I think that every horse owner should have a Paint; nice and gentle and kind! Clydesdales are very nice. But Appaloosas are my fav.! Soooooooooo unique. Hope this clears you.

  2. as a general rule, horses :) since they aren't as hard headed at ponies.  Ponies canbe great but for some reason they are kind of like small dogs, for some reason people who own them don't feel they need manners because they are small.  Ponies who are treated like horses and taught manners and such from the get go are awsome and cute and lots turnout to be great athletes, but its so hard tog et yoru hands on a good ponie which is why they are so expensive.

But i'm a hunter jumper so the bigger the better :)

  3. ponies

  4. Personally I like a smaller horse - 15 to 15.2 hands.  The size is suitable for my height.  I can get my legs on a smaller horse.  I have ridden many a large horse 16.2 and up and my best pony club horse ever was a 14hh pony.  Sad day when I realized I had outgrown her.

There are so many variables - personality, schooling, talent etc that it is hard to state a preferance based soley on size

  5. large ponies (14 h ) are great because they allow the people i give lessons to, to get the real feeling of riding a horse, with out the worry of falling far to the ground. and they are better for running barrels. quick little things. o yea and they're wicked cute!

  6. Horses!!! Especially Thoroughbreds. It's a passion thing when it all get started.
